Presentation – Awakening: A Journey by Guðbjörg Eggertsdóttir
Awakening: A Journey
Awakening is not a single moment—it’s a gentle unfolding, a return to what has always been within. It begins quietly, often disguised as restlessness, curiosity, or a longing for something more. Each step on this journey invites awareness: of breath, of body, of heart. The mind softens its grip, and the senses open to the present. What once felt ordinary becomes luminous. Awakening is both a shedding and a remembering. We release the stories that no longer serve us and rediscover the stillness beneath them. It is not about becoming someone new, but about seeing clearly who we already are. The path is not linear. It spirals—through light and shadow, joy and discomfort—each turn deepening our understanding. Compassion grows, not only for others but for ourselves. In the end, awakening is not a destination but a way of being: alive, aware, and connected to the pulse of life itself. —
